Before being established at Robertson Park, the studio was the 


Wellman Street studio (or Select Plumbers Studio)
14 Wellman Street, North, Western Australia.

This was established in 1992 by Edith Cowan University Graduates

While there were many undocumented exhibitions and events within the studio space, the artists did exhibit a large body of work in 1995 in Selected Plumbing at the Fremantle Art Centre.
